She began her formal education at Tama Art University in Tokyo, earning a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2011 with a focus on oil painting—drawn to the medium for its ease of use and personal appeal.
In her final year at Tama, she held a solo exhibition with a light heart, and to her surprise, the works sold out. This experience strongly convinced her that her art was no longer just about herself but had the power to resonate with others in meaningful ways.
Seeking broader artistic horizons, she continued her studies in France at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, completing the DNSAP in 2017 and a Post-Diplôme program in 2018. While at Beaux-Arts de Paris, she explored a wide range of techniques and materials, an experience that significantly expanded her artistic vocabulary and deepened her interest in experimentation. This fusion of Japanese and European influences continues to shape her evolving visual language.

KANARIA draws profound inspiration from the natural world—flowers, plants, animals, and the rhythms of daily life. Her work often reflects the intricate beauty and fleeting moments found in nature, as well as the personal thoughts, wishes, and emotions she experiences in her everyday existence.

Her art is not just about visual expression but about a deep dialogue between what she observes and feels.
